Rightmove Group PLC (LON:RMV) said a ‘record number’ of estate agents listed properties on its website as it responded to competition from newly-listed OnTheMarket PLC (LON:OTH).
Peter Brooks-Johnson, chief executive, said: “As the industry becomes more digital, our software has become more valuable to our customers with 90% of our Agency members making use of it each month.”
Profit went up 10% to £178.3mln from £161.6mln in 2017 on revenues 11% higher at £243mln.

The final dividend rose to 36p from 32p per share to make 58p for the year, up 14%.
Customers registered rose by 2% to 20,427 with 1mln UK properties advertised.
The property portal reported that traffic grew 4% to average over 125mln visits per month while time spent on the website remained unchanged at nearly 1bn minutes per month. However, leads fell by 7%.
In a note to clients, analysts at Liberum said the results were as expected with a decent outlook for 2018.
In morning trading, shares were 1% higher at 4,363p.
