Pre-clinical data for a potential cancer-treating combination using Sareum Holdings Plc’s (LON:SAR) Chk1 inhibitor has been presented to the American Association of Cancer Research’s annual meeting. In a poster presentation, US firm Sierra Oncology, which has exclusively licensed Sareum's cancer candidate SRA737, will demonstrate that the molecule synergizes with niraparib, a poly ADP-ribose (PARP) inhibitor. Gas-to-power specialist Tlou Energy Limited (LON:TLOU) (ASX:TOU) said the process of connecting to the regional electricity grid in Botswana is well advanced. Stobart Group Ltd (LON:STOB), the owner of Southend airport, has confirmed that it has been running the rule over Flybe Group PLC (LON:FLYB). Stobart Group and Flybe have a range of shared interests arising from Stobart Group's ownership of Southend airport and the growing franchise arrangements between the two groups' airlines.

Asiamet Resources Ltd (LON:ARS) continues to intersect high-grade polymetallic and copper mineralisation in drill core from the BKZ project in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Highlights of recent results include up to 2.7% copper over a 1 metre intercept, as well as high-grade polymetallic mineralisation, with up to 25.5% zinc, 10% lead, 188 gram per tonne silver and 2.8 grams gold.

Cadogan Petroleum PLC (LON:CAD) said on Thursday that production from its Blazh-1 well on the Monastyretska field in Western Ukraine had nearly doubled following completion of a work-over to stimulate the well. The main market listed oil and gas producer said the Blazh-1 well, monitored as part of a reservoir surveillance program to optimise the performance of the entire field, increased its output to nearly 63 barrels per day.

Shares in Goldplat plc (LON:GDP) surged after Rand Refinery agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to settle a dispute with Goldplat Recovery. The two parties agreed in December on an arbitration process to settle the dispute which related to a contract to process silver, and last month they announced agreement on a final settlement.

Columbus Energy Resources PLC (LON:CERP) has updated on its interests in Spain, where the operations are now being closed down due to the expiry of the company’s concession. Dismantling operations are now complete, and the concession will be formally closed shortly. Big Pic in October.

Internet data handling specialist, Ethernity Networks PLC’s (LON:ENET) has won a first order for its new programmable cloud-based data platform. Chinese network firm Shenzen TiComm has chosen the platform to speed up and lower the cost of data network transactions.

Base Resources Limited LON:BSE) (ASX:BSE) has announced the appointment, effective 1 February 2018, of Diane Radley as an independent non-executive director, bringing significant and diverse African, business leadership, strategy and financing experience to the company. The group said Radley most recently served as CEO of Old Mutual Investment Group, Africa’s largest asset manager.

AdEPT Telecom (LON:ADT) said it was notified today that on 21 February 2018 Christopher Kingsman, a non-executive director, increased his shareholding in the company following the purchase of 129,537 ordinary shares by Greenwood Investments Limited at a price of 305.125p each. Following the purchase, the group added, Kingsman has a total beneficial interest in 4,149,357 ordinary shares held via Greenwood Investments Limited, representing approximately 17.5% of the company’s current issued share capital.
