Aqua Metals Inc (NASDAQ:AQMS), up 28% to US$2.07.
The lead recycling technology firm thinks it has found solution to address a condition described as “sticky lead” in which lead recovered during the company's proprietary AquaRefining process was hanging up on the AquaRefining modules’ exit chutes.
Iconic Brand Group Inc (NASDAQ:ICON), up 47%.
The company has reached agreements with holders of roughly US$110 million of the company's 1.5% convertible notes due March 2018 to exchange their notes for new senior subordinated convertible notes and cash payments representing unpaid interest on the notes they are trading in.
FALLERS
Kosmos Energy Ltd (NYSE:KOS), down 4.1%.
The developer of the cross-border Tortue natural gas field retreated despite confirmation today that the governments of Mauritania and Senegal have signed an agreement that enables development of Tortue to continue.
Guess? Inc (NYSE:GES), down 4.2%.
Two independent directors are to oversee an investigation into recent allegations of improper conduct by Paul Marciano, a co-founder of the company.
After-hours on Friday
Aerospace power systems giant United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX) was among the few blue-chips to slide on Friday as equities rallied strongly.
The stock lost 1.9% in regular trading and then dipped a shade more in after-hours trading on the back of a report in the Wall Street Journal that European aerospace titan has reported a problem with an engine made by Pratt & Whitney, part of United Technologies, for its A320neo aircraft.
Following hot on the heels of the resignation of Steve Wynn, the boss of Wynn Resorts Limited, from the board of the company he founded after he became embroiled in accusations of sexual misconduct, retailer Guess? Inc (NYSE:GES) is putting the spotlight on co-founder, Paul Marciano.
The board has formed a special committee comprised of two independent directors to oversee an investigation of allegations against Marciano.
Actress Kate Upton has accused Marciano on social media of sexual misconduct.
Pharmacy-benefit managers were out of favour in after-hours trading on Friday after the White House released a paper entitled “Reforming Biopharmaceutical Pricing at Home and Abroad”.
The paper could for a reduction in the prices of biotech drugs on the one hand and an increase in incentives to encourage innovation in the biotech area on the other.
Express Scripts Holdings Company (NASDAQ:ESRX) and CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) both finished Friday in the red.
