Power station operator Drax Group PLC (LON:DRX) has been allocated contracts to provide a total of 1,217Mw of electricity in the latest capacity auction.
The agreements for the two coal-fired generators are for the delivery period October 2021 to September 2022 and are worth £10mln in total at a price of £8.40/kW, the company said in a statement.

Last week, SSE PLC was awarded 4,177Mw of capacity in the same auction in contracts worth £35.1mln.
