High-end carrier ethernet applications solutions provider Ethernity Networks Ltd (LON: ENET) has appointed network sales veteran Rob O'Hara as its vice president of worldwide sales.
O’Hara has more than 30 years of sales leadership experience in the networking and semiconductor market and in the last 17 years has focussed on network processors.
Most recently, he served as vice president (VP) of sales at Mellanox Technologies with responsibility for global network processor and multicore sales. Prior to that, he served for 15 years as the VP of Worldwide Sales for EZchip Technologies until EZchip was acquired by Mellanox in February 2016.
"Rob brings many years of experience in leading sales operations at EZchip, an ASIC-based [application-specific integrated circuit-based] network processor player. Together with the recent appointment of Critz Chan as VP Sales, APAC, we are well structured for significant growth around Ethernity's patented programmable flow processor technology," said David Levi, the chief executive officer of Ethernity.
O’Hara said he strongly believed in Ethernity’s high-quality field-programmable gate array-based solutions.
“I've already seen great interest from clients in the telecom industry. I'm looking forward to growing the business and taking Ethernity to the next level," O’Hara said.
Shares in Ethernity were up 1.8% in afternoon trading.
