Trading in the shares of Metalla Royalty and Streaming Ltd (CNSX:MTA, CVE:MTA), the precious metals group, started on the TSX Venture Exchange on Friday.
The stock will retain the MTA ticker symbol it had on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE); the CSE listing will become defunct after hours on Friday (February 2).
“Metalla’s listing as a Tier 1 issuer on the TSX-V represents a major milestone in our strategic growth plan. The TSX Venture Exchange is one of the world's leading exchanges for fast-growing public companies,” said Brett Heath, the president and chief executive officer of Metalla.
“We see this listing helping Metalla generate increased trading liquidity and access to a significantly larger investor base adding value for shareholders," he added.
Metalla's shares were up 4.2% at C$0.75 in afternoon trading.
