Cryptocurrencies have boomed in recent months

Investment platform operator i-Deal Corp is to allow Initial Coin Offerings or ICOs.

These are used to raise funds for the surge in new "cryptocurrency" ventures - businesses that operate independently of a central bank through the use of a digital currency.

ICOs have proved to be a cheaper and more popular way for start-ups to access capital and is another example of how the fund-raising sector has evolved in recent years, i-Deal Corp said.  

Its platform, iDx, allows companies to use its web platform to broadcast placement and launch details to its community of investors without commission.
