Canarc Resource Corp (TSX:CCM) has named gold exploration veteran Dr Jacob Margolis as its vice-president of exploration with effect from the start of 2018.
He has nearly three decades' of experience in western USA and British Columbia.
"I am excited to have someone of Jacob Margolis's experience and caliber become Canarc's Vice President Exploration," said Catalin Chiloflischi, chief executive at Canarc.
"His extensive knowledge and experience in Nevada and Canada provides Canarc the skills and leadership it needs to effectively advance its Nevada and BC property portfolio and contribute to our continued portfolio growth strategy."
Margolis has extensive experience in a variety of gold-silver deposit settings and in various exploration methods.
He has successfully evaluated, developed and managed many exploration projects in Nevada.
Canarc Resource Corp shares were unchanged at C$0.075.
