Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc.(NYSE:WBA) said on Monday that it estimates a tax benefit of US$200mln for fiscal 2018 as a result of recently-enacted US tax reform.
The drug store chain said it expects its adjusted earnings per share to increase by 30 US cents to 35 US cents as a result of the new legislation, which would be 5.3% to 6.2% above the current consensus estimate of US$5.61.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said that it will provide a more comprehensive assessment of the full impact of the legislation, and plans to provide a further update in the future.
In early New York trading, Walgreen shares gained 0.4% at US$73.20.
