Mod Resources Ltd (ASX:MOD) has experienced exploration success at its T3 Copper Project in Botswana.
T3 is part of the joint venture (JV) between MOD (70%) and AIM listed Metal Tiger Plc (30%).
One drillhole returned an intersection of 18 metres at 4.3% copper and 94 g/t silver from 146 metres downhole depth within a wide zone of 53.9 metres at 2.0% copper and 40g/t silver from 128.5 metres.
Exploration aimed at extending resource beyond planned 10 year open pit mine
Mod commenced the T3 infill and extension drilling program in August 2017 to test the potential for additional resource extensions.
In particular, the company is targeting high-grade vein mineralisation within and outside the planned 10-year open pit mine.
The reported intersection was near the middle of the T3 project, circa 100 metres above an intersection of 72.6m at 1.5% copper and 27 g/t silver from 250 metres downhole depth.
This is significant in terms of potentially extending the mine life at T3 as it is below the current planned pit design.
