Bloomsbury Publishing seeking new group finance director, with Wendy Pallot to join Euromoney

The AIM-listed firm said Pallot will remain in her post at the Harry Potter books publisher for the duration of her 12-month notice period “to ensure a smooth and orderly handover”

Bloomsbury Publishing PLC (LON:BMY) is looking for a new group finance director following news that Wendy Pallot has informed the board of her intention to resign from the position to join FTSE 250-listed Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC (LON:ERM).

The AIM-listed firm said Pallot will remain in her post at the Harry Potter books publisher for the duration of her 12-month notice period “to ensure a smooth and orderly handover”.

The group added that the board has begun a search for Pallot's successor and an announcement about a new group finance director will be made when one is appointed.

Sir Richard Lambert, Bloomsbury's chairman, said: "On behalf of myself, the Chief Executive Nigel Newton, the Board and all of our employees, I would like to thank Wendy for her tremendous contribution to Bloomsbury during her excellent seven year tenure. We wish her all the very best in the future."

At Euromoney, Pallot will replace Colin Jones, the financial publishing and events group’s financial director whose intention to retire by the summer of 2018 has previously been announced.
