Sunrise Resources gets go-ahead for more drilling at Nevada pozzolan deposit

The Phase 2 programme will see a further 22 drill holes and help define the boundaries of an open pit.

The Phase 2 programme will see a further 22 drill holes and help define the boundaries of an open pit.

Patrick Cheetham, Sunrise's executive chairman, said Phase 1 had confirmed the pozzolan at CS met the strength and quality requirements, but the results from this next stage of drilling and advanced perlite testing will identify the best place to start mining.

Natural pozzolans are a more environmentally acceptable alternative to Portland cement while perlite is a lightweight industrial material used in plant nurseries, Sunrise added.
