St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ) has drilled three additional holes at the Stricklands Prospect within its Mt Alexander Project in Western Australia, with all the holes intersecting nickel-copper sulphides.
The Mt Alexander Project is located 120 kilometres southwest of the Agnew-Wiluna belt, which hosts numerous world class nickel deposits.
St George’s latest diamond drilling results indicate that mineralisation continues and is open towards the north and northwest of the recent significant nickel-copper intersection (drill hole MAD71).

John Prineas, executive chairman, said: “Drilling has extended the footprint of the mineralised ultramafic at Stricklands and confirmed a vector for the mineralisation to the north and west.
“In addition, the structural information seen in the drill core indicates remobilisation of sulphides and further suggests that the mineralisation remains open.
“Step-out drilling at Stricklands is ongoing 24/7 to test for continuation of the mineralisation in the prospective area to the north and north-west of MAD71.”

Three drill holes have been completed at the Stricklands Prospect since drilling re-commenced on 30 November 2017.
The drilling was designed to follow-up a significant intersection that intersected 17 metres of nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation including over 10 metres of massive nickel-copper sulphides.
Potential for further significant nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation emerging
The latest drill results continue to point to a thickening of mineralisation towards the north and west of the Stricklands Prospect.
This is an area where large electromagnetic anomalies remain untested by drilling.
The distribution of this ultramafic stratigraphy is being resolved with each new drill hole, with the emerging picture indicating good continuity of the ultramafic unit.
Importantly, this supports the potential for further significant nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation.
Step-out drilling at Stricklands is continuing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to test for extensions of the mineralisation.
