Harvest Minerals Limited (LON:HMI) has received more data indicating its natural fertiliser KPfertil can perform better than traditional soil treatments.
Leach tests indicated much more potassium reached the plants using KPfertil, with only 0.07% of the potassium washed away compared to 20.8% from potassium chloride, 19.2% from potassium sulphate and 21% from potassium nitrate.

The tests were carried out the Federal University of Uberlândia and will be used in the certification process for KPfértil by Brazil’s agriculture ministry.
In addition, most of the potassium from KPfértil remained in the first soil layer, said Harvest.

“KPfértil's superior behaviour over other sources in the leaching test is due to its low solubility in water resulting in far less potassium being leached away.”
