Asiamet Resources to expand drilling programme at BKZ after intersecting further high grades

Asiamet has reported further successful drilling results at BKZ

Asiamet Resources Limited (LON:ARS) plans to expand its drilling exploration programme at the BKZ polymetallic prospect in Indonesia after intersecting further high grade mineralisation.

The company will expand diamond core drilling by six holes, or about 600 metres, adding to the initial programme of 14 holes.

The decision follows further successful drilling results at BKZ .

The third hole on section line BKZ33750 intersected the highest silver grades seen to date, including a 3m interval assaying 2,101 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold (Ag).

“Exploration drilling at BKZ continues to intersect exceptional high-grade polymetallic mineralisation, confirming the presence of a deposit, which may potentially standalone, and remains open in multiple directions,” said chief executive Peter Bird.

“We are very pleased as to how this project is evolving and as information progressively becomes available it will be integrated into our development planning process."

The exploration drill rig is currently set up on section line BKZ33550 in the southern part of the BKZ prospect testing the continuity of the upper polymetallic mineralisation and the down-dip potential of the structurally controlled high-grade copper-silver zone.

Two other drill rigs are in the process of completing geotechnical drilling for proposed infrastructure sites, including Heap-Leach Pad and Mine Infrastructure sites, at BKM.

Following completion, Asiamet will re-start scout drilling at Beruang Kanan West ("BKW") and Beruang Kanan South ("BKS").
