The major North American gold miner Newmont Mining (NYSE:NEM) is currently evaluating the results of a surface sampling programme that has been conducted on the Ernest Giles project in Australia owned by Greatland Gold plc (LON:GGP).

Under a deal signed earlier in the year Newmont was granted access to Ernest Giles as well as to Greatland’s exploration database.
