Advance Auto Parts, Dicks Sporting Goods, L Brands, Home Depot - PRE-MARKET

A share riser in pre-market was Advance Auto Parts Inc, which saw shares rise over 13% to US$93.50 each

Futures are pointing to a lower start on Wall Street and several stocks are in play before the start of trade in a week, which will see a number of themes in focus, including Republican tax plans.

A share riser was Advance Auto Parts Inc (NYSE:AAP) saw shares rise over 13% to US$93.50 each as it released earnings for third quarter, which beat forecasts.

The firm reported a profit of US$1.30 per share. Earnings, which were adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were US$1.43 per share, which topped Wall Street expectations.

Analysts had expected the company to earn US$1.21 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters.

More earnings reports are due today and Home Depot Inc shares (NYSE:HD) lost 0.82% in after hours deals to US$164.

The firm posted lifted its full year 2017 earnings and sales forecast again after reporting higher third-quarter profit and sales. Revenue and EPS beat estimates.

Also before the bell, Dicks Sporting Goods Inc (NYSE:DKS) was down 6.80% to US$24.53 each as it delivered 2017 diluted EPS (earnings per share) of US$0.35 each.

The firm also raised its full year 2017 guidance and now expects earnings per diluted share of US$2.95 to US$3.07 and non-GAAP earnings per diluted share of US$2.92 to US$3.04.

L Brands Inc (NYSE:LB) reports after the bell and shares were unchanged after the bell.

The fashion retailer is expected to post quarterly earnings at US$0.29 per share on revenue of US$2.57 billion.
