Under the cosh credit checking giant Equifax Inc (NYSE:EFX) nudged a tad higher in pre-market deals despite it reporting a 27% drop in quarterly profits.
Revenue growth was also lower in the most recent three months, as the firm grappled with the fallout from a major data breach.

The numbers involved have been staggering as the group said personal information of more than 145mln people in the USA and the UK may have been exposed.
Interim chief executive Paulino Barros, who was installed after the previous boss resigned, said he had high confidence that the firm would emerge from the crisis stronger.
Equifax shares added 0.78% to US$109.80 in pre-market deals on Friday.
