Tlou Energy Limited (LON:TLOU) has updated investors on its operations at the Lesedi coal bed methane project Botswana where a 2D seismic programme is nearing completion and a core-drilling programme has now kicked off.
Both programmes aim to increase gas reserves and contingent resources, as well as support the company’s initial project development.
WATCH: Tlou Energy very encouraged by early data from Botswana seismic programme
“The seismic survey is progressing very well and the analysis of the data to date has provided sufficient information for the commencement of core-hole drilling at the Lesedi CBM project,” said Tony Gilby, managing director.

“The information from the seismic program along with the core-hole data will be key to the expansion of the company's existing gas reserves and contingent resources, which through provision of increased confidence in the project could add significantly to the inherent value of the company's assets and provide vital data for the commencement of development activities in 2018."
