US stocks saw more good gains last week, but futures at the start of the new week point lower.
Tech behemoth Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) is in focus ahead of the New York bell, amid early indications that demand for its luxury iPhone X is stronger than expected but production problems continue.
Shares added 0.67% to US$164.15 each.

Apple is also in the news due to reports that an engineer was fired, it was claimed, after his daughter posted a video of the iPhone X before the official launch.
Dynegy Inc (NYSE:DYN), the Texas based electric firm, saw shares shoot up almost 14% in pre-market deals to US$12.78 after it emerged Vistra Energy was buying its fellow utility company in an all-stock deal worth $13.24 per Dynegy share, an 18% premium compared to Friday's close.
General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) shares shed 3.65% to US$43.01 after the car making giant was downngraded to "sell" from "neutral" atb broker and investment titan Goldman Sachs.
Also, Constellation Brands Inc (NYSE:STZ) shares ticked 0.36% higher in pre-market to US$212.66 as it emerged the beer and spirits maker will take a 9.9% stake in Canadian marijuana company Canopy Growth.
