Subsidiary NOVONIX Battery Testing Services Inc is based in Canada and manufactures the most accurate battery cell test equipment in the world.
The company's equipment allows researchers to predict battery cell life and performance within weeks of testing rather than years.
Novonix is now heading to market with a capital raising, and the ASX has granted a trading halt to prepare.
The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Tuesday 31st October 2017, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
