Mining

Emmerson Resources aims for gold production this quarter

Stockpiled ore grading 30-40 g/t gold is awaiting treatment this quarter.

Emmerson Resources (ASX:EMR) will continue its focus in the current December quarter on its New South Wales copper-gold projects and its Tennant Creek gold-copper project in Northern Territory.

Significantly, gold production from the Edna Beryl Tribute area is expected this quarter.

Edna Beryl is the first in Emmerson’s small mine portfolio to be developed under an agreement with the Edna Beryl Mining Company (EBMC).

EBMC are a specialist operator in small mines and have already developed much of the Tribute Area ahead of mining in early 2018.

Circa 1200 tonnes of development ore averaging between 30-40 g/t gold has been stockpiled awaiting treatment.

New South Wales projects

During the past quarter, exploration results from Kadungle, the first of five new projects in New South Wales provided evidence of a large, shallow gold and deeper copper-gold mineralising system.

The next drill program is scheduled for December at Kadungle and will test some exciting, newly defined geophysical and geological targets.

The following activities are planned for the December quarter:

- Modelling and assessment of geophysical surveys at Kadungle to generate targets for December drilling;

- Geophysical modelling of the detailed high-resolution magnetic surveys is also well underway over Emmerson’s other NSW projects at ELs 8463 (Wellington), 8465 (Temora) and 8464 (Fifield);

- Preparations for ground-based geophysical surveys at ELs 8464 (Fifield) and 8465 (Temora); and

- Continuing landholder/stakeholder engagement over prioritised projects ahead of field work.

December quarter work program in Northern Territory

The following activities in the Northern Territory are planned for the December quarter:

- Re-commencement of drilling at the Gecko-Goanna-Monitor project, where Emmerson discovered high-grade copper and gold in 2011;

- Processing of the development ore from the Edna Beryl Tribute area; and

- Continuation of the planning, permitting and approval process for the additional small mines and the future TC8 processing site.

Exploration at the 2,800 square kilometre Tennant Creek Mineral Field (TCMF) joint venture remains fully funded under the $15 million earn-in joint venture with Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN).
