Brainworks Limited (JSE:BWZ) reported an uptick in occupancy its hotels in Zimbabwe as its lowered room rates and international visitors picked up after an upgrade to the airport at Victoria Falls. Black Sand FZE, a subsidiary of Wishbone Gold PLC (LON:WSBN), is now receiving full volume shipments from its new supplier in Mali. Trials started a few months ago, prior to the wet season, and will continue through next year. Roughly US$700,000 worth of gold was received last week with volumes expected to increase over the coming months, Wishbone said.
Greencoat UK Wind PLC (LON:UKW) has said the results of its Initial share issuance programme, as announced on 28 September 2017, raised gross proceeds of £340mln. The group said it issued 290,598,295 new ordinary shares, at a price of 117p each. Tim Ingram, UKW’s chairman commented: "We are delighted to announce another successful and materially oversubscribed equity capital raise and appreciate the strong support of both existing and new shareholders. The proceeds will be used to pay down the Company's acquisition facility and, in turn, enable UK Wind to continue to take advantage of an attractive pipeline of opportunities."
