The long-serving chairman of over-50s insurer Saga PLC (LON:SAGA) is to stand down next year.
Andrew Goodsell has been with Saga for 26 years, 14 of which he has spent as chairman.
He hopes to have the handover process completed by the end of May 2018 and Saga has said it is kicking off the search for his replacement immediately.
Goodsell joined the insurer in 1992 as chief executive, before becoming chairman in 2004.
"Andrew has played a key role in Saga for many years. I would like to thank him personally for his invaluable support and counsel since I joined the company in 2014,” said group chief executive Lance Batchelor.
Saga shares were down 0.3% to 192.1p at the opening bell on Tuesday.
