Gold sold and transferred by Goldplat PLC (LON:GDP) during the three months to end-September amounted to 14,374 ounces, a 95% increase on the 7,382 ounces sold and transferred during the corresponding period a year ago.
The production boost came on the back of profitability at an operational level from all the different Goldplat divisions.
Kilimapesa in focus
In particular, production jumped by 133% to 1,449 ounces.at the Kilimapesa gold mine in Kenya.
Kilimapesa remains on track to produce in excess of 5,800 ounces during fiscal 2018.
The company also reported good progress in sourcing sufficient suitable material for the carbon in leach circuits at Goldplat Recovery (Pty) Ltd in South Africa, and in sourcing sufficient by-product material to keep Gold Recovery Ghana Limited ('GRG') operating to capacity.
