Adobe Systems Inc (NASDAQ:ADBE) saw shares shoot up over 7% after hours to US$153 as the software group gave better-than-expected profit expectations for 2018.
Adobe said it expects revenue of about US$8.7bn in fiscal year 2018, a 20% increase over fiscal 2017 sales, and adjusted earnings of US$5.50 a share over the year.
Elsewhere, online auction giant Ebay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) plunged 6.48% to US$35.51 after the bell, as the firm offered mixed guidance for the current quarter.
The firm expects to report adjusted earnings of between 57 to 59 cents a share, with the lower end of those estimates falling shy of analysts’ expectations.

Elsewhere, American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) shares were down 1.44% to US$90.75 after hours after the firm reported better-than-expected earnings. Separately, AmEx announced that Stephen Squeri will succeed Kenneth Chenault as chief executive.
Elsewhere, recent float Blue Apron (NYSE:APRN) slipped after the meal-kit company announced it would lay off around 6% of its total workforce. Shares slipped 0.57% to US$5.27.
Meanwhile, Kinder Morgan Inc (NYSE:KMI) shares were unchanged at US$18.58 after hours, despite the pipeline operator seeing quarterly revenue edge past analysts' estimates as a rise in natural gas volumes helped offset the impact of Hurricane Harvey, among others.
