Yet another senior executive at Uber has left the embattled taxi hailing app, with European policy chief Christopher Burghardt reportedly stepping down to join electric vehicle charging network firm, Chargepoint.
Burghardt’s departure comes at a difficult time for Uber which has gone to the courts in order to keep operating in London after authorities decided not to renew its licence.

Jo Bertram, the woman who has helped to establish Uber in the UK in recent years, also announced her exit at the beginning of the month.
“For me this is a choice because I really believe in Chargepoint and the advent of the electric vehicle,” Burghardt told the Financial Times.
It’s been a tumultuous few months for the Silicon Valley firm during which founder and ex-chief executive Travis Kalanick was forced out after a series of boardroom controversies.

Uber’s new boss Dara Khosrowshahi – formerly at Expedia Inc (NASDAQ:EXPE) – flew into London recently to hold talks with regulators and apologise for past mistakes.
“I’m still a great believer in what Uber does,” Burghardt told the FT. “Dara really has vision that will take the company into a bright future.”
