US stock futures are set to go higher on Monday after a mixed close on Friday.

Honeywell International Inc (NYSE:HON) the heating and plumbing parts giant is up 0.38% in pre-market after it emerged the firm plans to spin off its on-core assets and create at least two new public companies.

The move is being seen as a major shake-up since Darius Adamczyk succeeded David Cote as chief executive in April this year. Shares in the regular session added 0.03% to US$143.66.

Meanwhile, Qualcomm Inc (NASDAQ:QCOM) shares nudged 0.04% higher in pre-market deals on Monday as broker heavyweight Morgan Stanley said it expected the group to up its offer for NXP Semiconductors NV.

Magellan Health Inc (NASDAQ;MGLAN) shares lost 0.12% to US$86.35 on Friday after the health care group told investors that it had received regulatory approval to acquire Senior Whole Health. The story is one that is likely to attract more headlines on Monday. Shares on the day lost 1.56% to US$85.
