Xtract expects cashflow to be generated at Manica this month, building up rapidly in October

Xtract is now on the cusp of cashflow from contracted alluvial gold mining at Manica

Contractors at the Manica alluvial gold project owned by Xtract Resources PLC (LON:XTR) continue to make progress in development work, such that revenues are expected to commence this month.

The company has two contractors at Manica, Omnia and Sino Minerals.

Omnia Mining has deposited approximately 25,000 tonnes of alluvial materials on the plant stockpile ready for processing. It’s also pre-stripped a considerable amount of overburden in advance of the alluvial face, and established and tested the process plant.

A single water pipeline remains to be installed

Meanwhile, Sino Minerals has exposed a considerable amount of alluvial materials prior to their extraction, and has moved three small plants to site. These will be assembled in the coming weeks.

The progress means that some revenue is expected for September 2017, with rapid build-up from both contractors during October 2017

"I am pleased to be able to report that both contractors are aggressively pursuing their production goals,” said Xtract chairman Colin Bird.

“September 2017 should see Omnia Mining in production with Sino Minerals commencing production mid-October 2017. Unlike a hard rock operation, an alluvial operation demands less complex start up procedures and I am hopeful for steady state production by the end of October 2017.”
