Stem cell storage and insurance specialist WideCells Group PLC (LON:WDC) is to develop a software platform that both educates and keeps medical professionals and parents up to date on new treatments and developments.
WideCells chief executive João Andrade, said: “By combining education and technology we hope that our platform will see Wideacademy become the trusted thought leader and go-to resource in the stem cell industry.”

A commercial launch is targeted for the first quarter of next year. Annual membership will start at £120 per doctor/medical professional, while sponsors will be able to gain access to the Premium Platform, the company said in a statement.
The platform will also offer two types of courses: A modular course for medical professionals and a bespoke course designed for businesses. For both types of courseware there will be an opportunity for accreditation.
Maiden revenues are expected in 2018 with a target of 1,000 sponsorships and the purchase of 2,000 modules by the end of next year.
