Angus Energy waiting to start up Brockham, advancing Lidsey well

Angus awaits start-up at Brockham and production is expected in October at Lidsey.

Angus Energy Plc (LON:ANGS) told investors it is working to start production at Brockham as soon as practical, meanwhile, efforts at the Lidsey field target a start-up in October.

At Brockham, the British oil junior is awaiting approval of an addendum to the field development plan, and today, on September 22, the company acknowledged that it will miss its prior target of starting production “by the end of the summer”.

The company also noted that it had now installed an on-site power generator at Brockham.

Meanwhile, Angus is preparing for the next phase of operations in the Lidsey well which will see it pass through the Kimmeridge, followed by drilling into the Great Oolite production reservoir.

It is anticipated that the well will be put into production following the completion of drilling and the demobilisation of the drill rig.

"We are pleased with the progress of drilling Lidsey-X2 and look forward to start producing again from the Lidsey oil site in October,” said managing director Paul Vonk.

“We welcome these further enhancements to the Brockham site and its power generation as we continue to prepare for safe production for years to come."
