DigitalX Ltd’s (ASX:DCC) client Bankera has successfully closed its €25 million pre-initial coin offering (ICO) via the sale of 2.5 billion “Bankers” (BNK) tokens at €0.01 each.
ICO is an unregulated method of crowdfunding via the use of cryptocurrency.
DigitalX is a Blockchain enhanced payment solutions provider focused on the global digital payments industry.
The company has leveraged Blockchain technology and the secure ledger system to create a patent pending technology called AirID.
DigitalX has acted as the corporate advisor to Bankera which began raising funds in August.
The strong take-up of the BNK tokens highlight market demand for the project that Bankera is building.
Bankera is seeking to provide traditional banking and investment banking services to the blockchain marketplace including payments, loans, deposits and investments.
All services will support both traditional fiat currencies as well as cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, DASH, NEM, ERC20 compliant tokens and others.
DigitalX will receive an engagement fee of US$10,000, paid through Bitcoin, circa US$100,000 in Ethereum and circa 130 million BNK tokens for corporate advisory services.
The engagement to Bankera was the first engagement of DigitalX as an adviser in the ICO space.
