St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ) is readying a new exploration program at its wholly-owned East Laverton Project in Western Australia.
A high powered SAMSON EM (electromagnetic) survey is planned at the Windsor nickel sulphide prospect later in the month.
Drilling at the prospect earlier in the year focused on testing near surface EM conductors.
The program confirmed a very thick high-MgO ultramafic channel including a 215 metre intersection of high-MgO ultramafic.
Mineralisation identified included: 30 metres at 0.31% nickel from 108 metres.
John Prineas, executive chairman, commented:
"The identification of widespread magmatic nickel sulphides within the high-MgO Windsor ultramafic - together with multiple and still unexplained strong EM conductors - supports the prospectivity of the channel for massive nickel sulphide mineralisation.
"We are excited at this next phase of exploration at Windsor."
