As traders await another expected rally on Wall Street, clearly attention in pre-market deals includes eyes on tech giant Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) .
The company is expected to announce its 10th anniversary iPhone model later today, and the world is expecting a carcophany of high tech additions and, well, just plain magic.
Apple shares added 0.93% after hours to stand at US$163 each. In the reguilar session, they fell 0.28% to $161.04.
Elsewhere, the water management and drilling firm Layne Christensen Company (NASDAQ:LAYN) shares added over 7% to US$11.95 after hours after it reported stronger-than-expected results for its second quarter. Later on Tuesday, shares gained 6.45% to $11.88 each.
Limoneira Co (NASDAQ: LMNR) shares tanked almost 10% after hours to US$22 each as it reported its latest third quarter earnings.
EPS (earnings per shares) came in at $0.52 per share on revenue of $40.4 million.
The company projects full-year earnings of $0.51 to $0.55 per share, compared to analysts’ estimates of $0.55 per share.
Limoneira shares dipped 9.73% to $22.00 in the after-hours trading session. Then they fell over 9% to $22.16.
DowDuPont Inc (NYSE:DWDP) shares are up 2.62% to $68.60 after hours after the newly merged company altered its former spinoff plan.
The group says it's now planning to move units with $8bn or more in annual revenue from the materials spinoff to the specialty chemicals spinoff.
21st Century Fox Inc (NASDAQ:FOXA) was unchanged after-hours, as it was reported that the group had joined the court proceedings against a CBS deal to buy Australian broadcaster Ten Network Holdings.
Progress Software Corp (NASDAQ:PRGS) shares added 2.62% to $35.31 after hours as the data and software group.
It comes as the firm unveiled preliminary third-quarter earnings and revenue that beat expectations and also raised its quarterly dividend by 12%. On Tuesday, shares then gained 3.6% to $35.65 each.
Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) shares added 0.41% after hours as the online titan actually released news about physical shopping.
The group saw a 25% increase in foot traffic at its Whole Foods grocery chain in the two days after it implemented those promised price cuts. Amazon shares are up 0.33% to $981.21 on the day.
