Amazon.com, GoPro, Urban Outfitters and more - PRE-MARKET

A look at what's happneing bbefore the bell in New York

With futures pointing to a positive start, Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN), the online retail titan, was focus in pre-market deals, with shares up 0.40% to $971.69.

It came as brokerage and wealth manager D.A. Davidson started coverage of Amazon with a "buy" rating and a price target of $1,300 per share - a hefty distance from the current price.

It said Amazon was poised to take even more market share following its acquisition of Whole Foods and its embracing of brick-and-mortar operations.

Elsewhere, GoPro Inc (NASDAQ:GRPO) shares were up well over 12% after hours as the American tech firm (a high definition camera maker) said it expects the current quarter to be profitable on a non-GAAP basis.

It added that revenue and gross margins will come in at the high end of expectations on strengthening consumer demand.

Heavyweight broker Morgan Stanley was in the news too - in the light of its note on FireEye Inc (NASDAQ:FEYE) .

The broker upgraded the cybersecurity firm's shares to 'overweight' from 'equalweight'. FireEye Inc shares added 4.33% to $15.42 after hours.

Elsewhere, Urban Outfitters Inc (NASDAQ:URBN) saw shares nudge up a tad after hours to US$22 each as the apparel retailer said it expects comparable-store sales for the third quarter to drop by a low single-digit percentage.

Last but not least, Conns Inc (NASDAQ; CONN), the furniture and electronics and appliances maker, saw shares add almost 3% to $19.59 in pre-market, after it posted an adjusted 26 cents per share in the latest quarter, compared to estimates for a loss.
