We stayed up late to monitor what happened after hours in New York..

US stocks closed Tuesday in the red as North Korea worries came to the fore but one stock on the up after the bell was computer titan Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (NYSE:HPE), which saw shares jump 2% after hours.

The group, which is a spin-off from Hewlett-Packard Co, posted revenue and earnings, which beat Wall Street estimates.

Elsewhere, and on the other side of the coin, Dallas based entertainment group Dave & Buster's Entertainment Inc (NASDAQ:PLAY) sank 6.26% to US$58.14 after hours as it issued weak same-store sales guidance and reported second quarter revenue that missed Wall Street estimates.

Meanwhile, cloud-based spending monitoring group Coupa Software Inc (NASDAQ:COUP) saw its shares add well over 7% after hours after the tech group reported a second quarter loss, which was better than the "Street" had forecast. The company also posted better-than-estimated revenue.

Last but not least, Duluth Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:DLTH) rose 9.62% after hours after the firm’s revenue and earnings topped Wall Street expectations. The group is a clothes and tools supplier.
