Sound Energy has nearly wrapped up Badile operations

The explorer is working to focus attention on successes in Morocco, rather than dwelling on the disappointment of the Badile well

Sound Energy PLC (LON:SOU) has told investors that it has nearly wrapped up its operations at the Badile exploration project in Italy.

The company said that the drilling rig has now been fully disassembled and that operations to plug and abandon the well – including the restoration of the site – is expected to be complete by the end of September.

Earlier this summer, Sound shares were hit by the disappointing results from Badile.

Continuing to focus in Morocco

Separately, the company is continuing efforts to focus investors onto its successes in Morocco, where it has unearthed new discoveries and recently expanded its exploration footprint.

This morning, Sound Energy gave details of an investor event it is holding in London on October 5.

The investor relations initiative comes ahead of a new programme, planned to start in the fourth quarter.
