Here are some highlighted early movers in New York in the pre-market session.
Retail gaint and Asda owner Walmart Stores Inc (NYSE:WMT) saw shares lose 2.69% in pre-market deals to $78.80 each.
The firm reported adjusted quarterly profit of $1.08 per share, a penny a share above estimates.

Alibaba (NASDAQ:BABA) shared raced up over 5% before the bell as it beat both revenue and profit estimates and revenue in the core e-commerce business was up 58% versus a year earlier.
Chocolate firm Hershey Co (NYSE:HSY) saw shares nudge 0.45% higher to $106.52 after the broker Bernstein upgraded the chocolate maker to "outperform" from "market perform.
NetApp Inc (NASDAQ:NTAP) shares shed 2.48% to $41.36 as the computer data firm reported adjusted quarterly profit of 62 cents per share, seven cents a share above estimates.
Revenue was roughly in line with expectations.
Finally, United Rentals Inc (NYSE:URI) shares gained 2.71% to $115 after striking a deal to buy equipment rental company Neff Corp for $1.3 billion, or $25 per share - around 1.8% above Neff's Wednesday close.
Overstock.com Inc (NASDAQ:OSTK) shares were unchanged pre-market after the online retailer revealed it was in talks with XPO Logistics to set up a delivery system, according to a newspaper report.
