Morning news wrap: Vodafone, Grainger, Afren, Thomas Cook, Visa

In the FTSE 100, mobile operator Vodafone (LON:VOD) has acquired two telecom expense management companies: Quickcomm and TnT Expense Management.

In the FTSE 250, Grainger (LON:GRI) expects normal sales for the year to 30 September from its UK residential and retirement solutions portfolios to amount to £110 million.

Afren (LON:AFR) has completed the acquisition of Black Marlin Energy Holdings Limited.

Tour operator Thomas Cook (LON:TCG) and The Co-operative Group have agreed a merger of their high street travel and foreign exchange businesses.

On AIM, Vatukoula Gold Mines (LON:VGM) has issued and allotted 3,000,000 shares pursuant to an exercise of options at an exercise price of 2p.

Planet Payment (LON:PPT) noted that Visa has announced an end to its moratorium on dynamic currency conversion with immediate effect.

Lonrho (LON:LONR) said it intends to make an offering of up to US$70 million, inclusive of over-allotment option, guaranteed convertible bonds due 2015.

KEFI Minerals (LON:KEFI) has conditionally raised £625,000.
