Avingtrans PLC (LON:AVG) said today that its Metalcraft unit’s Energy division has secured a framework contract with US firm Cummins Inc. worth an additional £3.6mln in revenue over 3 years.
The AIM-listed firm – which recently agreed the all-share takeover of motor and pump designer Hayward Tyler PLC (LON:HAYT) – said the contract builds on Metalcraft's longstanding relationship with Cummins, a producer of diesel and alternative fuel engines and electrical generator sets.

The industrial engineer said the latest long-term contract brings the total value of such agreements to more than £100mln over the last three and a half years.
Austen Adams, managing director of Metalcraft and Avingtrans’ Energy and Medical division, said: "This is another significant step forward for Metalcraft in the energy market. The addition of another long-term contract is entirely consistent with our strategy of building a portfolio of strong forward commitments."
