US crude up 0.69%
US shares are still mixed going into the close with electric car firm Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) the stock of the moment.
It is due to report second quarter numbers in around an hour, and concensus is for the California- based company to post an adjusted loss per share of $1.82, on revenues of $2.51 billion.
Tesla released its first batch of the much hyped Model 3 sedans on Friday. These are its first mass market cars and the aim is they will provide the runway for the firm to become a much larger car manufacturer.
But some commentators fear Tesla won't be able to ramp up production of the car fast enough.
The Dow Jones is holding above 22,000, and is up over 40 points, the S&P 500 is flat at 2,476 and the Nasdaq is up 0.75 at 6,363.
In Toronto , the TSX is 53 points ahead at 15,255.

MID-SESSION
US stocks were mixed at mid-session, with the Dow Jones just keeping its head above the key 22,000 level.
It stands at 22,005 at the time of writing, up around 40 points, or 1.18%.
The S&P 500 however is down almost two points at 2,474, while the tech heavy Nasdaq index shed 4.30 to at stand at 6,358.
US crude - West Texas Intermediate - is up 0.39% at $49.36 a barrel.
In stocks, top riser on the S&P 500 was Illumina inc (NASDAQ: ILMN), the gene sequencing firm, which shot up over 14% to $196.63 on the day as its first quarter revenue breezed past the firm's guidance.
Also up was Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) as the market continued to bathe in the tech stalwarts quarterly results success.
Elsewhere, Systemax Inc (NASDAQ: SYX) shot up over 20% to $23.07 on the back of its stronger-than-expected second quarter results.
Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) shares gained 1.40% to $324.06 ahead of much anticipated results after the bell.

The Dow Jones continued to re-write the records on Wednesday, smashing through the psychological level of 22,000 in early deals, aided by Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL).
A close at or above that level today would reportedly be the eighth fastest move to a 1,000-point milestone for the Dow at 109 trading sessions.
At the time of writing, it stands at 22,013 - up over 47 points.
The other major benchmarks - the S&P 500 and tech heavy Nasdaq - however fell in early deals, the former moving to 2,472, declining 3.54 points, while the latter lost 9.35 at 6,353.
US crude - West Texas Intermediate - was up a tad - at $49.18, while in Toronto, the biggest Canadian index - the S&P/TSX was up over 59 points at 15,261.
In companies, shares in FireEye Inc (NASDAQ:FEYE) added 0.68% to $14.79 as it posted a better-than-expected earnings report.
Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares gained 4.44% to $156.71 as its third-quarter profit and sales were better than experts had anticipated.
The tech giant is forecasting between $49bn and $52 billion for revenue for the current quarter, which ends in September - which is also above estimates.
