A strong end to its trading year will mean gold recovery specialist Goldplat PLC (LON:GDP) posting underlying profits ahead of market expectations. The published profits will include a £980,000 write-off for a project in Burkina Faso (Nyieme), but ignoring that the ongoing business had traded well said Gerard Kisby-Green, chief executive.

Eco Atlantic Oil and Gas Ltd (LON:ECO, CVE:EOG) chief executive Gil Holzman is looking forward to a ‘high impact’ 2018 as the company’s recent progress sets the explorer up for drill campaigns in both Namibia and Guyana next year. The company, which raised £5mln in a February AIM listing, on Thursday reported on what Holzman described as “another successful and extremely busy” period.

Keywords Studios PLC (LON:KWS) moved higher this morning after the company beat expectations with a strong first half performance. The AIM-quoted firm, which provides services into the video games industry, saw revenues jump 50% to €63.7mln (H1 2016: €42.4mln) during the six months to 30 June, while adjusted pre-tax profits also surged by 60% to €9.6mln (H1 2016: €6mln) in the period.

ANGLE PLC (LONAGL, OTCQX: ANPCY), pioneer of a liquid biopsy that helps detect the early signs of cancer, said it had made significant progress in commercialising its breakthrough technology as it provided a review of the year just gone. Undoubtedly the highlight was the successful completion US and European studies evaluating over 400 patients using the company’s Parsortix system to detect ovarian cancer in women with a high-risk pelvic mass.

Lionsgold Limited (LON:LION) has increased its shareholding percentage in Geomysore Services India Pvt Ltd, a gold company with a 361,000 ounce JORC compliant resource in Andhra Pradesh. The AIM-quoted firm - a leader in the discovery, delivery, and development of novel RNA therapeutics for the treatment of serious diseases with unmet medical need - said Quark has reported that the trial's primary endpoint and multiple secondary endpoints were met in subjects at high risk of AKI following cardiac surgery.

Canada-focussed Rambler Metals & Mining PLC (LON:RMM, CVE: RAB) said second-quarter mill throughput hit a new quarterly record of 86,895 dry metric tonnes – up 15% on the previous quarter and 29% year on year. The mill produced 4,359 dry metric tonnes of concentrate, a 49% increase first quarter, containing saleable metal of 1,112 tonnes of copper and 939 ounces of gold.

PowerHouse Energy Group Plc (LON:PHE) shares could be worth 324% more than its market price, according to Align Research, which on Thursday issued a ‘conviction buy’ recommendation for the specialist power group. Align Research analyst Richard Gill, in a note, gives PowerHouse a net present value of £52.75mln which equates to 4.24p per share – compared to the present price of just over 1p on London’s AIM market.

Online investment platform SyndicateRoom said it is offering its members to take part in a retail bond offer for property investment firm, LendInvest. LendInvest is planning the issue of sterling-denominated 5.25% fixed-rate retail bond notes, which are due in 2022, by its wholly-owned subsidiary, LendInvest Secured Income plc.
