Ramsdens Holdings PLC (LON:RFX) has revealed it was the subject of a cyber breach as it reported that strong trading during the early part of the financial year has continued into the important summer period.
The recently-listed pawnbroker and financial services firm said regulatory authorities had been notified of the unauthorised access to its IT systems, and added that the company was working with third-party experts to take all appropriate actions.

In a statement, Ramsdens said: "Based on its current assessment, the company anticipates minimal disruption to its business and trading performance and a small financial cost due to additional IT software and procedures.”
But, it added: "As a precaution, Ramsdens is in the process of notifying potential impacted stakeholders and will provide appropriate advice and support."
Also including a trading update, the company said all its core business segments had seen strong trading into the summer period, and its directors “remain confident of Ramsdens' continued progress."
Back at the start of June, the group – which is the shirt sponsor for relegated Premier League football team, Middlesbrough FC - reported pretax profits of £2.9mln for the year to March 31, up from £2.3mln a year earlier.
Excluding the costs of its AIM flotation in February, Ramsdens’ adjusted pretax profit was up 73% year-on-year to £4.0mln.
