IOT Group Ltd (ASX:IOT) has achieved a key milestone by commencing the distribution of the pocket-sized flying camera “AirSelfie” in the U.S.
AirSelfie is a selfie camera that connects with a smartphone to let users take high-definition photos from the air.
Its turbo fan propellers can thrust up to 20 meters in the air.
The AirSelfie was originally funded via Kickstarter and the manufacture was through a non-specialist factory in Shanghai.
Subsequently, AEE was chosen as the manufacturer for the AirSelfie and in April 2017, the IOT Group secured distribution rights for the U.S. and Australian markets.
IOT’s extensive distribution agreements with U.S. big-box retailers offer AirSelfie a potential pipeline of up to 20,000 retail outlets across the U.S.
AEE has completed their very first production run of AirSelfies this week and the first production units are currently being shipped and will go out to IOT retail accounts and interested customers.
This is a key milestone in the sales process and has been achieved in good time to allow retailers to review the quality of the production line units in time for the Christmas ordering period.
