Shares in payments giant PayPal Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: PYPL) are up 3.65% and on track to close at record levels Wednesday after it struck a tie up with tech megagroup Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL).
Customers will be able to use PayPal to pay for items in the former's App Store, Apple Music, iTunes and iBooks.
Before the deal announced today, US users could add PayPal on iTunes desktop on Mac and Windows when configuring their Apple account, but this expansion reportedly means the feature will be added to 11 new countries, including the UK and Australia.
PayPal shares have been making impressive ground in recent weeks, with shares gaining 34% in the past three months.
Apple shares are today up 0.26% to $145.91.
