As traders gear up for a day of Fed testimony from Janet Yellen, and more fallout from the Trump/ Russia election saga, a number of stocks are in focus before the bell.
Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA) the tech giant, is one, whose shares are up 0.88% in pre-market to $157.25 and closed up 1.42% yesterday.
It comes as analysts at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey upgraded the share to ‘buy’ from ‘neutral’. Shares later in the session gained 4.17% to $162.38
Also moving in pre-market is Cara Therapeutics (NASDAQ:CARA) which added over 9% to $13.80 in before-the-bell deals after the group unveiled positive data from the phase 1 trial of CR845 in hemodialysis patients who have chronic kidney disease.
All four tablet strengths of the drug were found to be well tolerated, it emerged. Later in the day shares were still up - almost 6%.
Also today, Fastenal Company (NASDAQ:FAST) shares rose 4.6% to $45.60 in pre-market deals as its second quarter results were better than expected.
Fast food chain Chipotle Mexican Grill is as usual making headlines too. Yesterday, it revealed that the burrito chain is taste-testing queso (cheese) sauces at its new kitchen in New York City.
Chipotle shares ended yesterday down 2.81% to $396.08 each. Today, the changed hands around 0.25% lower at $395.10 each.
