Scancell Holdings Plc (LON:SCLP) has told investors that its SCIB1 skin cancer treatment continues to produce remarkable survival data from the ongoing phase I/II clinical trial.
Overall, 18 of the 20 stage III/IV melanoma patients with resected disease (i.e. some or all of the tumour has been surgically removed in the past) remain alive and have lived significantly longer than the ‘established norms’.
On top of that, Scancell confirmed that eight patients have reached the five year survival milestone.
In other news, ITM Power plc (LON:ITM) has signed an agreement to provide Honda with hydrogen for its fuel cell powered vehicles in the UK.
The contract is priced at 10/kg, in line with other fuel supply deals ITM has signed recently. In total, the company now has seventeen agreements in place.
Shares in Abzena plc (LON:ABZA) surged on Tuesday after the life sciences group signed an agreement with a Taiwanese biopharmaceutical company worth up to £128mln to license out its ThioBridge technology.
ThioBridge is an antibody drug conjugate (ADC) linker, which in layman’s terms means it attaches antibodies and other proteins to drugs.
The deal with OBI Pharma will see the Taiwanese outfit use Abzena’s linker technology to develop its proprietary ADC, OBI-999, and a series of further ADCs as potential treatments for cancer.
This afternoon, Cadence Minerals Plc (LON:KDNC) confirmed that Macarthur Minerals – in which it has a 20.3% stake – has made the final payment as part of its acquisition of the Stonewall lithium brine project in Nevada.
Cadence said that Canada-listed Macarthur issued 1mln shares at 7 cents apiece to the former owners of Stonewall.
Elsewhere, Bango plc (LON:BGO) shares boomed this morning after the mobile payments company saw spending across its platform grow again in the first half of the year.
Annualised end user spend (EUS) at the end of June exceeded £300mln a year, compared with £195mln a year at the end of December 2016.
That growth was driven from existing app store routes as well as the addition of new routes for Google Play and early progress in Japan for Amazon, leaving Bango on track to hit its target of doubling EUS by the end of 2017.
Marketing and media analytics consultancy Ebiquity plc (LON:EBQ) has launched its Total View Attribution service.
The service will enable businesses to improve the return on investment of their multi-channel marketing activity and guide investment strategy development.
In other words, it will measure how big a bang it gets for its buck (or how big a punch it gets for its pound).
BOS GLOBAL Holdings (LON:BOS) shares rose 5% today after the firm announced the first of its additional strategic new board appointments, naming Adam Webb as a non-executive director with effect from today.
The workplace efficiency software developer said Webb is a senior qualified solicitor and corporate financier with an expansive career spanning City lawyers Slaughter and May and mainstream investment banking with Morgan Grenfell, CIBC/Wood Gundy and Société Générale.
Over in Western Australia, precious metals miner Greatland Gold plc (LON:GGP) is launching a new exploration programme at the Eastern tenements of its Ernest Giles gold project.
The area has virtually not been subject to historical exploration and the exploration programme will include Mobile Metal Ion surface geochemistry, broad-spaced gravity traverses and geological field reconnaissance. The results of the exploration programme are expected by September 2017.

And finally, the board of Chaarat Gold Holdings Limited has approved the grant of 3.5 million options to three members of the team at an exercise price of 16.328p.
Half a million options were granted to new chief executive Robert Benbow. Half of the awarded options will vest over three years with the remainder vesting on the achievement of milestones including the completion of the feasibility study for the Tulkubash heap leach project, completion of financing for the project and the first gold pour.
