Oil & Gas

Amazon, Warren Buffett, Halcon Resources and others in focus- PRE-MARKET

We are looking at all the movers and shakers in pre-market deals

As was to be expected, Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is still very much in the glare of public attention as its sale begun yesterday, continues..

It has emerged that the firm’s smart speaker with voice-activated Alexa capabilities called Echo is the best-selling item in the US so far.

Amazon shares are down 0.15% to $995 in pre-market deals.

Elsewhere, Halcon Resources (NYSE:HK) is up almost 47% to $4.46 in before-the bell deals.

It comes after the group agreed to sell producing onshore oil and gas assets for US$1.4bn.

The deal sees non-operated assets, producing 29,000 barrels oil equivalent per day (boepd), in the Williston basin, transferred to Bruin E&P Partners, which is backed by Arclight Capital.

Meanwhile, Berkshire Hathaway Inc (NYSE:BRK) has seen founder and investing legend Warren Buffett give away another chunk of his fortune.

Shares lost 0.54% yesterday. Buffett has, as usual, given stock to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

In 2006, Buffett announced plans to gradually donate all his Berkshire Hathaway shares.
