Gfinity Plc (LON:GFIN) is getting ready to kick off its flagship event, the Elite Series, which gets underway tomorrow.
The season of eSports competition begins at the Gfinity eSports Arena in London on Friday July 7, and events will run every weekend through to September 3. The competition will be broadcast online, at Gfinitiyesports.com.
Eight professional eSports teams, with a total of 160 gamers, will participate in the nine-week tournament which comprises three concurrent leagues (one for each of the games: Street Fighter V, CS:GO and Rocket League).
Elsewhere, MySQUAR Limited (LON:MYSQ) has announced the launch of Mingalarbar Morning a new news aggregation app for its customers in Myanmar.
The app is designed to address a lack of comprehensive local language news. The AIM-quoted company said that Mingalarbar Morning is one of the first aggregators to deliver both ‘hard’ (politics, business and international) news sources as well as ‘soft’ items (such as arts, entertainment and sports).

An airborne electromagnetic survey carried out over Metal Tiger PLC’s (LON:MTR) Kalahari copper-silver project in Botswana has identified more “distinctive” anomalies similar to that found at the T3 deposit.
A scoping study last year suggested the T3 deposit was host to more than 210,000 tonnes of copper and 6.65mln ounces of silver.

And finally, Allergy Therapeutics plc (LON:AGY) has published data in peer-reviewed journals from two preclinical studies analysing its immuno-therapy platform as a potential vaccine against malaria and the flu.
The two papers reported that Allergy’s immunotherapy Pollinex platform, microcrystalline tyrosine (MCT), both alone and in an adjuvant (immune system booster) system, had broad applications and boosted protection compared to conventional adjuvants.
