Shares in EKF Diagnostics Holdings PLC (LON: EKF) were higher after the firm said underlying profits (EBITDA) for 2017 will be "comfortably ahead of current market forecasts."
The AIM-listed medical diagnostics firm said in a trading update that sales were notably strong in June, due entirely to organic growth with no major tenders were won during the period.
Trading in the second quarter of the year has continued the favourable trends experienced in the first quarter, it said.
"Finally, despite the cancellation of the stock option scheme at a cost of £1.5mln cash generation has been very strong with net cash at 30 June of approximately £4.0mln," the firm said.
In early trading, EKF Diagnostics shares were up 1.88p at 25.00p, an 8.11% increase.
